Care Worker

Our Care at Home services are Development-based and provide enhanced provision to support adults with varying needs including physically disabled, older adults and vulnerable adults in their own homes to live as independently as they are able with a responsive service adapting to their housing support plans.

Be able to be registered as a support worker in an adult social care service with SSSC within 3 months of beginning the role (see desirable SVQ2)
Awareness of person-centred care
Good team working and be able to work alone
Hours consist of covering early and late shifts 365 days per year
Some travel may be required for training and to provide essential cover
SVQ 2 or SVQ 3 in health and social care, or willing to work towards
Medication units in SVQ
Awareness of dementia
This Permanent Care Worker - MGlenfield Court, Galashiels role involves working on a 4 on 4 off rota, 17.This rota is a rolling rota to support a work life balance. Provide care services to residents, while working to SSSC codes of practice and Health and Social Care Standards
Undertake all training and eLearning relevant to the care role.
Assist in care planning for residents to achieve positive outcomes.
Provide and maintain manual and electronic records to required standards.
