Role: Fixed-Term Contract – Senior Associate
We are seeking an experienced lawyer (Senior Associate, Legal Director, Counsel, ex-Partner) to join our market-leading Construction Professional Indemnity team on a fixed-term contract to provide cover for parental leave. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to take on a high level of responsibility, managing complex and high-value disputes for a broad range of construction professionals and their insurers. The role offers significant client exposure, opportunities to contribute to strategic case development, and the chance to play a key role in mentoring junior team members while working as part of a collaborative international practice.
The Team
Our professional liability lawyers have extensive experience acting for construction professionals and their insurers across all industry sectors. Our international team works together to provide fast and effective solutions to the complex claims that clients face.
This role will include advising and defending D&B contractors, engineers, architects, project managers, surveyors and other consultants and their insurers on claims and risk management issues. This involves resolving construction disputes, errors and omissions, defects claims and financial disputes, as well as all aspects of construction professional indemnity insurance.

While the role will largely involve assisting with work in the London market, the candidate does not have to be based in London. Remote working will be possible, subject to client needs.
The successful candidate will deal with all facets of contentious construction and construction-related professional indemnity insurance work.
* We are ideally looking for a candidate at 5+ PQE with relevant post-qualification experience at a leading firm. Please note that PQE levels are a guide, and all suitable candidates will be considered.
