Oak Haven School is a nurturing, inclusive, and specialist SEMH setting for Key Stage 2 to 4 learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our mission is to provide a safe, empowering environment where every young person is supported to Empower, Heal, and Thrive. Newly established in September 2025, we are now looking for a Class Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be based within our Nurture pathway teaching a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils in Key Stages 2-4 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, using trauma-informed and relational approaches to create a safe and supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will focus on developing pupils' emotional well-being, social skills, and engagement with learning. Responsibilities
* Teach a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils in Key Stages 2-4 with SEMH needs, using trauma-informed and relational approaches to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Focus on developing pupils' emotional well-being, social skills, and engagement with learning.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Interest in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in a nurturing environment.
* The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
* Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other background checks; applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.
