Quality Engineer Full-Time, Onsite (South West England)
(ISO 9001 experience, HNC+ in Mechanical Engineering, internal auditing, 5S/6S and RCCA knowledge, able to read engineering drawings, strong analytical and written skills, proven multi-project management)

About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet exacting quality and compliance standards. Youll collaborate across design, production, and supply chain teams to drive improvements, support product validation, and maintain regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on, full-time, onsite role reporting to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct internal audits to support continuous improvement and ensure process compliance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements.
* Lead global regulatory compliance efforts, including proactive tracking of upcoming changes.
* Manage customer returns and supplier non-conformance investigations.
* Carry out product testing and verification throughout the development cycle.
* Develop and execute test procedures, including design of experiments.
* Participate in risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) to identify and reduce product risks.
* Oversee workshop and testing facilities, maintaining equipment, schedules, and 5S standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
* Level 4 qualification (HNC) or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
* Proven internal auditing experience.
* Experience with 5S/6S, RCCA, and structured problem-solving tools.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Excellent analytical thinking and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
* 5+ years' industry experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Desirable Experience
* Familiarity with PPAP processes.
* Knowledge of international product compliance standards (e.g., CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65).
