An opportunity for an NPD Assistant to join a luxury beauty brand based in London.
The Role
Join a vibrant and forward-thinking beauty business as an NPD Assistant, supporting the New Product Development (NPD) team across two high-profile skincare brands. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for skincare and product development, bringing ideas to life from concept to shelf.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting formulation, packaging, and project management activities. This is a fast-paced and collaborative environment where attention to detail, time management, and communication are key.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support NPD managers across both brands in creating briefs for suppliers (bulk and packaging).
* Help manage development timelines, flag risks, and track progress to support on-time launches.
* Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to keep everyone aligned and informed.
* Maintain development records, technical data, product folders, samples, and testing documentation.
* Work with contract chemists and safety assessors to ensure science-first formulations.
* Collaborate with the Design team on artwork, packaging briefs, and proofing to print-ready standards.
* Assist with product copywriting, naming, and trend/competitor research.
* Contribute to strategic discussions with a science-led approach.
You’ll bring a scientific mind, creative curiosity, and strong organisation skills to the table, alongside a real love for skincare innovation. You’ll thrive in a fast-moving environment, balancing tasks with confidence and clarity while keeping a keen eye on the finer details.
We’re looking for someone with:
* A degree in Cosmetic Science (or similar) and solid A-levels in Maths and Science.
* Previous experience in NPD within the beauty industry – at any level.
* Excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills.
* A proactive, flexible approach with strong relationship-building ability.
