CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator Blackburn Due to continued growth and investment in new technology, we’re looking to expand our skilled team with an experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience on lathes who’s ready to take their career to the next level in a modern, forward-thinking engineering environment. The Role You’ll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality precision components. You'll be working in a clean, well-equipped workshop with modern CNC machines and a collaborative, supportive team. Your responsibilities will include (training provided where needed): * Setting and operating CNC lathes using proven and new programs/tooling * Programming new parts using CAM software and manual G-code editing (Fanuc-based controls) * Improving efficiency and cycle times by reviewing and updating existing programs * Evaluating and trialling new tooling to enhance performance and consistency * Running multiple machines and working with a range of materials * Performing in-process inspection using hand-held measuring tools and CMM * Daily maintenance of machines and coolant to meet H&S and compliance standards * Supporting the training and mentoring of apprentices and new team members * Keeping the work area clean, safe, and well-organised What We're Looking For We're looking for someone passionate about precision engineering and proud of their work.
