What You Will Be Doing
As Farm Manager, you will lead all arable and potato operations. You will:
* Manage crop planning, planting, growing, and harvest operations
* Develop and trial new crop opportunities to enhance profitability
* Create nutrition plans, crop rotations, irrigation schedules, and cultivation strategies
* Monitor crop performance, pests, and diseases, implementing preventative and reactive measures
* Recruit, train, and manage permanent and seasonal staff
* Plan workloads, manage performance, and promote a positive team culture
* Oversee machinery and equipment care to ensure efficient use
* Manage budgets, input costs, labour planning, and provide performance reporting
* Maintain health & safety compliance and champion sustainable farming practices
What You Need
* Previous farm management experience, ideally in arable and root crop production
* Proven leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams
* Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities
* Knowledge of modern arable and root crop techniques, machinery, and sustainable agriculture
* Agricultural qualifications beneficial
* A proactive, innovative mindset and interest in crop diversification
