Our client, a leading Civil & Structural consultancy, is seeking a motivated Associate Structural Engineer to join their Berkhamsted team on a hybrid basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including Industrial, Highways, Refurbishment, and Data Centres.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage engineering designs in line with client requirements
2. Review and approve designs produced by more junior staff
3. Take a lead role in relation to the technical delivery of projects, providing technical supervision and guidance to less experienced staff
4. Be a recognised point of contact for clients on projects
5. Along with the Director, contribute to the day-to-day management and control of projects including financial management, compliance checks, and environmental and health and safety procedures
6. Conduct client meetings
Key Requirements:
1. Degree qualified in civil or structural engineering
2. Chartered or progressing towards MIStructE/MICE
3. Proven experience in technical competence, conducting meetings, and working effectively as part of a team
4. Proven experience working in a consultancy environment
5. Knowledge of Industrial, Commercial, or Retail projects
6. Good communication and people skills
7. Ability to lead a team
8. Proven experience of leading projects
9. Experience of working closely with developers/contractors
