Clinical Director Opportunity at a lovely practice in Birmingham
Are you a confident Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon who has experience in managing a team? Our lovely client in Birmingham might just have the perfect job for you!
The Role:
* The client is looking for an experienced Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team.
* The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside two other Veterinary Surgeons, a Practice Manager, a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, three Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Veterinary Care Assistants, and two Receptionists.
Duties:
* As the Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will be line managed by the Practice Manager and will be responsible for managing the Veterinary Surgeons, acting as the clinical lead for the practice, and overseeing clinical governance.
* Approximately 70% of your time will be spent being a vet, and the remaining time on managerial duties.
The Hours: A 40-hour work week over 4 days, including one Saturday morning every three weeks. No out-of-hours required.
The Candidate:
* The ideal candidate should have strong clinical experience, experience in leading a team, and must be customer-centric.
* Strong small animal veterinary knowledge and significant experience with diagnostic, medical, and surgical (routine and emergency) caseloads.
* Experience or appreciation of working in a charity environment would be beneficial.
* While it is not essential, a certificate holder or someone working towards a certificate would be ideal.

* A salary of up to £70,000 p/a, reflective of skills and experience.
* £1500 CPD allowance + 30 hours per annum based on 1 FTE.
