Electrical Technician LDerry Were working with a well-established manufacturing solutions provider who are expanding their team in Derry. Theyre looking for an Electrical Technician to join their team, supporting the design, build, and commissioning of bespoke systems for clients across a range of industries. This isnt production line work its a mix of panel building, wiring, diagnostics, and hands-on involvement in custom machine builds. What youll be doing: Building and wiring electrical panels and systems based on technical drawings Installing and connecting field devices, sensors, and motors on automation cells Supporting the commissioning of new machinery, both in-house and occasionally on customer sites Diagnosing and fixing faults on control systems, PLC panels, and electrical hardware Following health & safety protocols and maintaining accurate job documentation Working alongside mechanical, controls, and software teams to deliver complete systems What were looking for: NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Experience with control panel wiring, machine build, and general industrial electrical work Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) is beneficial, but not essential Someone who can work on their own initiative, problem-solve on the job, and take pride in a clean, safe work environment Whats on offer: A permanent role with a company that invests in its people and promotes from within Exposure to cutting-edge automation projects not repetitive work Opportunity to develop your electrical skills and move into controls, commissioning, or project leadership down the line This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being hands-on from day one.
