Principal Teacher – Additional Support for Learning (Inclusion) (0.4FTE)

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Principal Teacher, Additional Support for Learning for 14 Hours (0.4FTE) on a temporary basis to the Supporting Learners Service in the East of the region. This post will be temporary up to August
The post holder will have the desired personal qualities and skills to lead a resourced provision setting; East Inclusion Base. You will be responsible for the strategic overview of inclusion outreach support in the East of the region. The postholder will be required to work in partnership with appropriate agencies and parents to support pupil needs in creative and innovative ways. You will lead and manage a team of teaching and non-teaching staff who provide support for pupils with additional support needs.
The post holder will also play a role within the Supporting Learners extended management team to work in partnership with all schools, and other professionals, to improve the quality of supporting learners’ provision, mentor and lead on change, and share knowledge and understanding of good practice.
Candidates should ideally have extensive teaching practice, leadership and management experience and experience of working with pupils with additional support needs. A professional knowledge of policy and practice relating to ASN would be advantageous.
This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
