ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a talented Assistant Store Manager to join our Columbia Retail team in Bridgend, UK.
You will be part of a diverse and dynamic European Retail team across 8 countries.
Your main mission is to support the store's success and team development by enhancing profitability and customer satisfaction, as well as mentoring staff.
You will also assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence as needed.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
* Provide excellent customer service and advice on our products, following our Customer Service best practices.
* Help maximize store sales and monitor progress against targets.
* Assist in leading and developing the store team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations in collaboration with the Store Manager.
* Coach, motivate, and inspire team members, and discuss their progression with the Store Manager.
* Ensure the store is well-presented according to corporate visual merchandising guidelines.
* Maintain a positive work environment and effective communication across all levels of staff and management.
* Follow company policies and procedures, and suggest improvements where applicable.
WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in retail or customer service & sales at a management level.
* Good knowledge of the country's official language; professional English skills required.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for team collaboration.
* Gifted in coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in multitasking.
* Willing to join a high-performing team and take on challenges.
* Enthusiastic about outdoor activities and eager to share this passion.
* Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
