Role Purpose:
To drive growth in the aerospace market by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for Hewland and Hero Motors high-performance components and systems. This role requires strong technical insight, industry connections, and the commercial acumen to position Hewland as a trusted aerospace partner.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and engage with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and aerospace primes to grow the aerospace customer base.
· Develop and execute sector-specific sales strategies aligned with corporate goals.
· Lead end to end business development activities: prospecting, proposal development, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align technical solutions with customer needs.
· Represent Hewland and HMC at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and policy changes impacting the aerospace sector.
· Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare sales forecasts and performance reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
· Proven track record in business development, sales, or key account management in the aerospace industry.
· Strong network within aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers.
· Technical background (Engineering degree or equivalent experience) preferred.
· Experience with precision engineering or advanced manufacturing highly desirable.
· Familiarity with aerospace standards, certifications, and procurement cycles.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Desirable Attributes:
· Experience in hybrid/electric propulsion, lightweight materials, or advanced drivetrains.
· Ability to work independently and strategically in a fast-paced technical environment.
· Strong commercial instincts with a long-term partnership mindset.
