To help grow our District Heating department in the UK, we are looking for a specialist in this discipline to join us. Working on a range of UK and international projects, you’ll provide technical expertise and have all or most of the following skills and experience.
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Providing technical and project management expertise, in support of the growth of COWI’s Energy Transition and District Heating Consultancy Services in the UK
2. Delivery of high-priority projects, including managing and developing existing client relationships
3. Work closely with our international colleagues to ensure our projects benefit from our substantial international district heating experience
4. Contributing to business development, bid writing and client engagement activities in corporation with our Market Director and bid team
5. Support development of market analysis, financial modelling and strategic planning to support the business case development for district heating schemes under the HMT green book guidelines.

On top of that, you’ll have:
6. Be a recognised district heating specialist
7. Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree or PhD in a related engineering discipline
8. Experience working on district heating schemes, preferably in the UK
9. Knowledge and understanding of the energy market, electricity networks, distributed/urban energy systems and renewable energy technologies
10. An understanding of district heating energy centre and network operation, relating to performance and energy assessments
11. Be passionate about raising your own profile and growing our capability and market footprint in the UK district heating industry
