Mitie is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer – Mechanical/Plumbing Bias to join our team and help maintain a wide range of building systems at two of our key client sites at London Bridge and Canary Wharf. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of essential infrastructure. Full‑time, Permanent 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintenance and repair of mechanical installations, including ventilation systems such as air handling units (AHUs) and intake/extract systems, heating and cooling systems such as thermal wheels and fan coil units (FCUs), and water systems such as booster sets, calorifiers and water heaters.
* Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance, ranging from basic plumbing to statutory compliance checks such as legionella monitoring.
* Respond to client queries, report defects, and provide clear, timely updates.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, remedial work and service documentation.
What We Are Looking For
* Deliver a high standard of service, communicate clearly with clients, and keep accurate records of inspections and remedial work.
* Comfortable working in confined spaces, at height and performing manual tasks.
* Strong communication skills and ability to use a mobile device for reporting.
* Flexibility to adjust core hours (8am‑5pm) as needed to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities management environment.
* Relevant qualifications: F‑Gas, C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 5, or HNC equivalent.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Permit to Work systems and safe working practices.
