LHH is partnered with a leading international law firm as they recruit for a Technical Claims Handler to join a dynamic and expanding team based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical claims experience to manage a varied caseload of professional indemnity claims and deliver an exceptional claims service to clients and insurers.
In this role, you will take full ownership of claims from first notification through to resolution. Working within delegated authority, you will investigate matters thoroughly, assess cover, liability and quantum, and guide policyholders and brokers to the appropriate outcomes. You will be responsible for negotiating settlements, reporting to insurers where required, and ensuring claims are managed efficiently, fairly and in line with agreed service standards.
You will also contribute to the wider success of the team by helping to identify training needs, supporting colleagues, and ensuring consistent and accurate reporting. As part of a collaborative and supportive environment, your ability to think strategically, make sound decisions and maintain high standards of service will be key.
We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of technical claims handling and relevant legal frameworks, who can manage their workload effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and a commercial mindset are essential, along with the ability to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with case management systems and good IT proficiency is also important.
