Job title: Electrical & Instrumentation Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you will travel to customer sites to maintain and /or repair CT Additive Addition Systems (AAS) and new Catalyst Withdrawal Systems (CWS). AAS consist of product storage hopper and ATEX or UL rated PLC based control systems for adding fluidized catalyst products into FCC process. CWS consist of multiple storage hoppers, heat exchangers, and ATEX or UL rated PLC based control system for withdrawing hot catalyst from FCC process.
Please note, significant travel will be required in this role, especially within the first 2 years. Normal on-site Field Service activities are estimated at 50%. However, first two years may require up to 70% travel across the UK/EU at times to help catch-up with preventive maintenance activities.
The role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
1. Being responsible for performing planned or emergency service calls to customer sites (refineries) primarily in the UK and EU.
2. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and correcting/repairing mechanical, electrical, or process problems related to AAS.
3. Analysing data generated by AAS to diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process problems related to AAS.
4. Performing start-up, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of new AAS.
5. Train refinery operators AAS functionality.
6. Performing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on PLC based control systems manufactured by JM vendors, at vendor location sites.
Key skills/qualifications that will help you succeed in this role:
7. Mechanical or E&I engineering or vocational qualification plus relevant experience. - Essential
8. Experience working with and troubleshooting PLC based control systems, including uploading and downloading project files. Essential
9. Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics and process P&IDs - Essential
10. Experience with various processes such as pressure control, flow control - Essential
11. Experience and working knowledge of ATEX standards - Essential.
12. Experience with risk assessment, safe systems of work, management of change – Desirable
