Salary: £42,474 per annum
Manchester Diocese has a strong commitment to Safeguarding and we are seeking a suitably qualified individual to join us on a fixed term contract to support the work of the team. The post holder will support the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer (DSO) in investigating allegations of abuse, ensuring that they are appropriately referred to the statutory authorities and ensuring the provision of appropriate advice and support to survivors and victims of abuse. The post-holder will assist the Safeguarding team in ensuring that those who pose a risk are appropriately supported and managed/monitored.
The post holder will have day-to-day working relationships with a small Safeguarding team; local authority bodies; parishes across the diocese; and diocesan employees; so must have experience of working with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
