Band 5 Pharmacy Technician - Stores Location: Birmingham Contract: Minimum 3 months (ASAP - 30 October 2025, with possible extension) Hours: Full-time, 09:00-17:00 shifts (occasional weekends available) About the Role We are seeking a motivated Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join the stores and distribution team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS FT. This role is primarily focused on supporting the pharmacy stores function and does not require an ACT qualification, making it a great opportunity for technicians from a variety of backgrounds. Key Details: ACT qualification not required - ideal for technicians with community pharmacy or other non-NHS hospital experience. Main duties will be in stores and distribution. Potential for ACT duties if the service develops, but not guaranteed. Open to candidates with limited or no NHS experience. Main Responsibilities: Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of medicines. Ensure stock control processes are followed accurately. Support the smooth running of the pharmacy stores function. Work closely with the wider pharmacy team to ensure timely medicine supply. Requirements: Qualified Pharmacy Technician (registered with the GPhC). Good organisational and communication skills.
