Position details Role: IT Technician — Nottingham Start date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent / Full-Time (school dependent) About the role The IT Technician will deliver first-line technical support, manage device rollouts and returns, assist with Wi-Fi troubleshooting and support teachers with classroom technology. The IT Technician will maintain software patching schedules, assist with backups and help ensure basic cybersecurity hygiene across the Nottingham site. Key responsibilities Respond to technical issues, diagnose faults and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner. Image and deploy laptops/tablets, track assets and maintain an accurate register across Nottingham. Support classroom AV, interactive whiteboards and remote-learning set-ups; liaise with external suppliers for specialist fixes. Maintain software updates, antivirus measures and assist with routine IT maintenance and backups. Provide clear guidance to staff and pupils on using systems safely and effectively.
