Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Driving may be required for home visits, making a valid driving licence an advantage.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents and clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the healthcare team.
* Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, promoting their dignity and independence.
* Engage with clients through meaningful conversation and activities to enhance their overall well-being.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in care homes or home care environments, is desirable but not essential.
* Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits.
