As we move into a busier period, we’re currently registering experienced Class 2 drivers to strengthen our driver pool for upcoming work.
We regularly receive bookings from our clients across the CB area and like to have good drivers in place before the demand hits… not rushed in at the last minute.
At Driver Hire Cambridge, transport isn’t something we talk about, it’s something we’ve actually done. Every one of our team has driven for our clients, on their sites, in their vehicles. We know the yards, the routes, the quirks… and the people.
So when you take work through us, you won’t be sent in blind with just a postcode and a shrug. We’ll meet you on day one, introduce you properly, and make sure you’re comfortable before you even turn the key.
Simple rule: if we wouldn’t do the job ourselves, we won’t ask you to do it.

1. Position: Class 2 (Category C) Driver
2. Location: CB postcode area
3. Paid weekly (PAYE)
You’ll be working with a solid mix of well-run local companies, from multi-drop and pallet work to site-to-site runs.

🧾 What You’ll Need
8. Category C (Class 2) licence
9. Valid CPC card
10. Digital tachograph card
11. A professional, can-do attitude
12. Clear spoken and written English
13. A reasonable level of fitness
🚛 What You’ll Be Doing
14. Delivering goods safely and on time
15. Loading/unloading where required (mostly palletised or fork-lifted)
16. Completing vehicle checks and paperwork
17. Being a credit to the client — and yourself
