About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Waitrose Commercial team as a Manager Waitrose Media. Externally this is known as Retail Media Sales and Planning Lead.
The role will lead the team of media sales and planning partners within the brand. As we invest into transforming our Insights and Media capabilities, we need to ensure we are creating a brilliant team with great career paths, with leadership and training to support them to adopt and embed new best-in-class retail media technologies and Insight-led Media planning approaches.
Some of your key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsible for creating and maintaining the Waitrose Insights and Media sales strategy and revenue target.
Annual business planning to agree supplier specific targets aligned with the category teams.
Tracking and reporting on Insights and Media trading performance within the brand.
Support matrix working to ensure that the campaign bookings are briefed and managed with all the delivery channels, ensuring brilliant execution of insights and media campaigns.
Lead the team responsible for Insights and Media planning and booking relationship with suppliers.
Essential Skills
Knowledge in retail and CPG sector
Extensive experience working with Customer Data solutions in the retail media, loyalty & supplier insights space
Strategy & plan development for commercial proposition
Experience in taking media and insights propositions to market with successful business growth impact
Deep Retail and FMCG Supplier Experience
Commercially minded and extensive experience of selling retail propositions to suppliers (insights and / or media) and exceeding targets
Experience of leading and developing high performing teams
Collaborative and engaging to create a aligned plan across the Partnership
Desirable Skills
Worked within the Commercial / Merchandising team of a top tier retailer
Worked within the Customer team of a top tier retailer
