Required Competencies A Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineer with an experience of 5-8 Years in Design and Detailed Engineering related to structural discipline for Turnkey Projects related to petroleum refining & petrochemical industry. Perform Structural Analysis and Design Engineering work as an individual or in a lead role for Oil & Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical plant projects. Thermal Oxidizer experience preferred. Prepare structural steel design and fabrication specification to outsource design, engineering, and fabrication work. Review structural analysis, Connection design, Lifting & transportation calculations, and detail design work as per client’s specification. Candidate shall be proficient in the use of software like STAAD, SACS etc. Should have prior knowledge and competency with 3D Model and should be able to take part in 3D model review. Candidate should have good knowledge of major National / International industry Codes and Standards, Process Industries Practices, OSHA etc. Experience/ Knowledge of inter-disciplinary linkages & interdependencies. Understanding of Equipment Design and Fabrication techniques, standards, and tools. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be used at the international level with colleagues worldwide. Competency to review customer specifications for proposal support Competency to provides technical support for fixed/ budgetary price proposals, cost estimates, and design basis data which include estimation of structural BOM, Module Transportation dimension and weight etc. Competency to provides deliverables within budgeted cost and schedule at a high level of quality. Competency to communicates with project manager on a regular basis regarding progress, changes, budget & schedule Inspects fabrication/ construction for conformance with project equipment requirements and applicable codes, as assigned. Identifies needs and opportunities for Work Process and Productivity improvements (in area of expertise) utilizing Six Sigma principles and provides necessary oversight through implementation. Keeps up to date with current technology developments in area of expertise and shares this knowledge with others, where appropriate through leadership of an Equipment Network or Committee. Sets technical standards, policies, and procedures in area of expertise. Coordinates revisions and improvements going forward. YOU MUST HAVE We Valuebasic Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical. Master’s degree may be an asset. Able to communicate effectively in English.
