Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Assessor & Installer
Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Assessor & Installer. The TEC Service at Neath Port Talbot Council is committed to helping people live safely and independently through the use of innovative technology. Our team works across private homes, residential settings, and community spaces, delivering person-centred solutions that promote well-being and autonomy. As a Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Assessor & Installer, you will
1. Carry out person-centred assessments to identify appropriate telecare equipment.
2. Install and maintain specialist telecare equipment.
3. Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to integrate TEC into wider care plans.
4. Review TEC packages and respond to changing needs.
5. Handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
Your daily routine will
6. Visiting service users across the County Borough.
7. Assessing individual needs and recommending suitable TEC equipment.
8. Installing and testing telecare devices.
9. Demonstrating equipment use and ensuring users feel confident.
10. Maintaining accurate records.
11. Liaising with colleagues and external partners.
About you:
Do you have:
A minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade A - C) which must include English language or the Welsh equivalent
NVQ II or equivalent in Technology Enabled Care or Care OR
Evidence of substantial experience in a relevant role / lived in experience
*There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided
