YR 6 TEACHER Salary: Teachers Main scale £32,916 - £45,350 per annum. Contract: Fixed term until 31 st August 2026 (could be extended beyond this) Hours: Full time, 32.5 hrs per week (or part of a job share) Start Date: 1 st January 2026 At Ridgeway Primary Academy, our children are at the heart of everything we do. Ridgeway is a successful 2 form entry primary school in Chasetown. We currently have 417 pupils on roll in the main school and a further 200 children accessing Early Years provision in our term time Ridgeway Tots twos group and Sunbeams Nursery and Sunny Days Nursery, which is open all year. Ridgeway Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work. School received a further ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED at our last inspection in December 2024 and Sunny Days in July 2024. Ridgeway Primary Academy is one of the founding schools in the Primitas Learning Partnership, a cross phase MAT serving the local area which opened in September 2021. Currently there are seven schools within the partnership; two high schools, four primary schools and a special school. The Trust provides opportunities for the schools to work collaboratively to support school improvement. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Yr 6 teacher to join our team supporting pupils through this important final stage of Primary School. We are seeking someone with high expectations, excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire children to achieve their best. Experience in Year 6 or upper KS2 would be an advantage, though not essential. We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about helping every child succeed, both academically and personally. Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. An excellent practitioner who has a proven track record of having a positive impact on pupil outcomes A hardworking and dedicated practitioner; able to motivate and inspire pupils and staff who has a commitment to their own personal and professional development. An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Willing to contribute to the life of the school and its community and to go over and above to make great things happen for our children.
