SEND Teaching Assistant

We’re currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Newcastle on a long term basis starting ASAP.
You’ll be joining a supportive, inclusive school that puts wellbeing and community at the centre of everything they do. It’s a good fit for someone who wants to become a familiar face in a school that values consistency.

Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs
2. Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps
3. Managing behaviour in class
4. Implementing individual education plans
Requirements or Skills:
5. Recent experience working in a school or education setting
6. A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education is desirable but not essential
7. Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team
