The Opportunity VPI is looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their team at the Immingham Power Generation Facility. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining, developing, and improving electrical systems across multiple generation sites — ensuring performance, safety, and reliability are always at the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain electrical systems at the Immingham Power Generation facility. Manage technical risks across electrical assets, including plant status reviews, compliance, obsolescence, and spares strategies. Plan and deliver electrical engineering projects from design through to implementation. Develop maintenance strategies and provide engineering support across the wider fleet. Collaborate with external bodies such as HSE and NESO. Contribute to large capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and commercial objectives. What You’ll Bring Degree in Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND with relevant experience also considered). Strong background in electrical engineering within large generation or process plants ( CCGT experience desirable ). Sound understanding of engineering standards, legislation, and compliance. NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Proficient in MS Office and general IT systems. Why This Role?
