Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Driver and Warehouse Operative is to support the production and operations teams with the efficient delivery of our award-winning beer across the Southwest and in maintaining the warehouse where required. The overarching goal is to keep Lost and Grounded Brewers at the forefront of the UK and global brewing scene. An essential part of the role is to continually work to improve and promote our company culture of being Humble, Inclusive, Clever, and Raw. Key aspects of the role are outlined below:
Responsibilities:
Delivery:
1. Deliver goods to accounts across the Southwest, following specific routes and schedules.
2. Load, unload, prepare, maintain, and operate a delivery vehicle.
3. Follow responsible safety protocols both on site and on the road.
4. Ensure empty kegs are collected.
5. Complete required Vehicle Logs and checks where applicable.
6. Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints.
7. Inform customers about new products and services.
Warehouse:
1. Assist with loading delivery vans for the day.
2. Build pallets for wholesale and national delivery.
3. Ensure correct stock rotation and assist with stocktakes as required.
4. Follow Goods In and Out procedures.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse and yard.
6. Follow health and safety and SALSA protocols.
7. Maintain an organized webstore packing area.
8. Manage warehouse supplies and communicate items to be ordered.
Skills:
1. Confident communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
2. High level of organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
3. Punctual, reliable, and a team player.
4. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and solve problems.
5. Ability to ask for help when needed, follow instructions, and respond positively to feedback.
6. Understand deadlines and maintain flexibility to meet them.
Requirements:
1. Sound manual handling practices, routinely delivering 30L and 50L kegs (40kg and 65kg).
2. A clean driving record.
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum, full-time, depending on experience.
