You will provide a professional and effective service working with the Chair in Construction Materials Science in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds. Your role will involve leading the development and delivery of project aims, engagement strategies, and research marketing and communications activities focused on sustainability, circular economy, and industrial materials.
You will collaborate across multiple projects, working closely with project teams and partners. Your work will target a diverse audience, including national and international stakeholders such as partners, industry representatives, university researchers, policymakers, SMEs, networks, trade associations, and the public.
Your responsibilities include developing and implementing a user engagement strategy that involves engaging directly with stakeholders through various activities to raise awareness and identify their interests. You will help pinpoint the commercial and technical challenges necessary for making research outcomes relevant and applicable.
You will deliver communication strategies to enhance the visibility of our work and organize events for different stakeholders. This includes identifying industry-focused and trade association events for researchers to present their work, publishing articles in trade media, and working with colleagues across the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and the wider university.
You will organize advisory board meetings, workshops, site visits, seminars, public engagement activities, and other events. Additionally, you will liaise with media companies to create content that communicates our projects’ objectives and outcomes, sharing this content across various platforms and with trade associations for dissemination.
You will measure and monitor impact using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as the number of partners, engagement levels, event attendance, industrial visits, online views, and meeting minutes. These metrics will help visualize our impact.
This role is based at the University of Leeds campus with scope for hybrid working arrangements. We are open to discussing flexible working options.
