Job Title: IT Business/Test Analyst
Location: Hybrid with 1 day a week in our head office at Burntwood
Salary: Up to £68,000 per annum DOE

Join our Technology & Change team as a Business/Test Analyst, where you'll bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders to drive process improvements and implement effective solutions. Using a methodical approach, you'll analyse business needs, identify opportunities for enhancement, and support the delivery of impactful change. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you'll play a key role in ensuring our technology and processes align with business goals, making complex information clear and actionable.

Key Responsibilities
Collaboration & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvements, engagement, and business change.
Process Design & Optimization: Lead the analysis, design, and optimisation of end-to-end business processes, ensuring that all areas are effectively aligned with business goals.
Facilitation & Documentation: Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, assess communication needs, identify change impacts, and define training requirements. Own and document the outputs.
Requirements Analysis: Work with business subject matter experts to analyse and define both functional and non-functional requirements for various business processes.
Data Modelling & Insights: Utilize data modelling techniques to extract meaningful business insights and trends to support informed decision-making.
Design Specifications: Translate business requirements into clear design specifications and functional documentation for implementation teams.
Test Case Review: Review test cases written by peers to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements and specifications.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform various types of testing including integration, functional, system, regression, usability, and more to ensure software quality.
Defect Investigation & Reporting: Conduct initial investigations into defects found during testing phases, prepare structured findings, and collaborate with the technical team for resolution.
Test Execution & Reporting: Execute tests and document results in detailed test reports.
Data Management for Testing: Create and manage data sets for use in testing activities, ensuring they are appropriate and effective.
Flexibility & Team Support: Be adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks to support the team and address challenges as they arise.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience of software development lifecycles.
* Skilled in working with senior decision-makers.
* Strong verbal and written skills for engaging internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
* Systematic approach to solving complex problems with attention to detail.
* Experience leading workshops and facilitating group discussions.
* Detail orientated capable of delivering accurate and high-quality work.
* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Confidence to act on analytical findings and make informed decisions.
* Assist in developing and executing project plans.
* Self-Motivated, Enthusiastic, with the ability to motivate others.
Specialist Skills & Knowledge:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Information Systems, or similar.
* 5+ years as an IT Business Analyst and across all software development lifecycle phases.
* Familiarity with Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence) and Agile methodologies.
* Experience with SQL and AWS stack.
* Business Analysis Framework (e.g., BCS/ISEB Diploma) and Agile Project Management experience.
