About the role
1. Support, coach and enable the combined Records & Workflow / Enterprise Service agile teams, to deliver the Xurrent platform and Services via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled team.
2. Adept at delivering complex business needs, breaking down barriers for your team.
3. Quarterly Planning with the combined Records & Workflow / Enterprise Service agile teams, getting into the detail to make things happen as required.
4. Deliver this project and services using the scaled agile delivery methodology, learning & iterating frequently. Prioritise the work needed to be delivered against the capacity & capability of the team.
5. Work with the Product Owner to define the roadmap for the combined Records & Workflow / Enterprise Service teams, translating this into epics and stories.
6. Assist in developing a stakeholder strategy and translate this in to the required goals.
7. Use a Servant Leadership approach to guide the team, enable them to self-organise.
8. Coach this team to work collaboratively, ensuring the deliverables & services are built to an appropriate level of quality.
9. Facilitate the development and operational team's progress towards quarterly goals.
10. Identify, manage and eliminate risks, dependencies and impediments for the team.
11. Support the Product Owner clarifying business requirements and managing the backlog and guide the team.
12. Support the team in monitoring, measuring and transparently reporting on relevant agile metrics & KPIs.
13. Support estimation - help the team understand work item sizing, enabling accurate estimates to support planning.
14. Identify resource or skills gaps in the team composition & where key decisions/direction is required.
15. Ensure readiness for go-live - including UAT, planning of user training and any changes to the support model.
16. Manage/maintain budget to spend and time allocation for financial cost management.
17. Co-ordinate release iterations / deployment plan.
18. Seek continuous improvement and actively help to evolve best practices and Ways of Working.
19. Mentor or coach other Agile Delivery Managers as required.
20. Assist in managing 3rd party suppliers.
21. Contribute with ideas for improvements to Agile Delivery methods in UCL.
22. Coach peers and team members in agile methods and ways of working.
*Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract (FTC), initially running for a 4 month period. Your pay is calculated from the advertised annual salary but only for the months you work.*
About you
23. Experienced in the delivery of complex projects such as enterprise level service management, integrations and service improvement across multiple business domains
24. Proven experience in delivering projects and products (services) using Agile methodologies
25. Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
26. Experience of managing multiple Agile projects across multiply teams or managing Agile Programmes
27. Experience in coaching team members
28. Experience in facilitating and organising multi-disciplinary teams
29. Good financial management of project budgets and reporting
30. Previous experience in coaching team members in Agile practices
31. Experience of Managing 3rd party suppliers
32. ITIL qualified or experience working in an Enterprise ITIL environment
33. Excellent facilitation, collaboration and communication skills
34. Good knowledge of Jira and other project management tools
35. Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders
36. Ability to understand complex customer demands and turn them in to easy to understand stories
37. Thrives on challenges and seeks to achieve results
38. Proactively working with other people, teams, partners and functions for the benefit of the wider institution
