Offer description

Overview

About The Role. This is a full-time role working night shifts, 44 hours per week. Full flexibility is required. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our residents by delivering personalised care that respects their stories and individuality.

In this role you will plan and implement care to give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families and help deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and positively influencing the team. You may assist with activities such as showing someone how to use a walking frame, supporting someone at the end of life to eat, or communicating with a resident’s family, all with kindness as a guiding principle. You will work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities and may administer medication.

One key responsibility is to maintain accurate records of your work and to build strong relationships with the rest of the team.

Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with experience in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is a brilliant positive energy and the ability to get along with people. You’ll know what good record-keeping looks like, be able to manage your time effectively, and communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.
