Heavy Industry Maintenance Electrician (Apprenticeship Served)

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting a Maintenance Electrician on behalf of our client - a leading industrial business based in Llanbydder. This is a permanent role, ideal for a time-served electrician with a background in heavy industry or manufacturing.
About the Role:
You'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of both fixed and mobile plant equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, control panels, and PLCs. Preventative maintenance and fault-finding are key elements of this role, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out efficient repair of electrical breakdowns.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
* Maintain motors, switchgear, panels, and electrical systems safely.
* Support the installation and commissioning of electrical projects.
* Operate and maintain electrical equipment including PLCs and control systems.
* Identify faults quickly and implement effective solutions.
* Adhere to health & safety procedures and company policies.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to meet operational goals.
Requirements:
* Apprenticeship served in electrical maintenance.
* 17th or 18th Edition of BS 7671.
* 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
* Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (advantageous).
* Computer literacy and the ability to use maintenance systems.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Flexible, proactive, and safety-focused approach.
