A highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Reading is seeking a talented Wills, Trusts & Estates Solicitor (2–4 PQE or equivalent experience) to join their expanding Private Client team. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle high-quality work, develop specialist expertise and progress within a supportive and well-structured department.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will manage a varied caseload of non-contentious private client matters, working closely with experienced colleagues while also having autonomy over your own files. Your responsibilities will include:
• Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other key private client documents.
• Handling estate administration, including inheritance tax advice and preparation of IHT accounts.
• Advising a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, families and vulnerable clients.
• Working collaboratively on larger, complex cases alongside senior members of the team.
• Participating in business development activities and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory, risk management and firmwide procedures.
• Developing your expertise through regular supervision, training and ongoing professional development.
What They’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications:
• 2–4 years PQE as a Private Client Solicitor — however, candidates with equivalent depth of experience will be considered.
• Solid grounding in Wills, LPAs, and estate administration.
• Experience providing inheritance tax advice is advantageous.
