TheDefence, Diplomacy and Intelligence (DDI) team is a close-knit teamof around 17 people. We work across National Security strategy andspending, and take the lead on a fascinating and exciting area ofwork. Our focus is on the effective and efficient use of taxpayer'smoney to deliver the UK's defence and securityobjectives.

Aboutthe Job
Inthis role, youwill:
* Leadoversight of the Single Intelligence Account's (SIA) in-yearfinancial management and estimates process with a view todelivering value for money and effective national securityoutputs
* Deliver the next spending review,leading Treasury's preparations to understand the inner workings ofthe SIA, establishing shared priorities and working closely withthe Cabinet Office to shape and scrutinise bids. You will leadnegotiations with the UK Intelligence Community and adviseministers on how to deliver a balanced settlement
* Lead on HM Treasury's national securitypolicy, working collaboratively across Treasury on issues rangingfrom counter-terrorism, state threats and emerging technology toensure growth andprosperity
It'san exciting time to join us. You'll operate at the heart of theUK's national security community, acting as the HM Treasuryspending principal for the UK Intelligence Community. Thesensitivity of this work presents unique challenges, and you'llhave a high level of exposure to senior officials and ministerswithin HMTreasury.
