Overview
Together Housing Group is seeking a Plumber to join our Repairs and Maintenance team in Halifax. The role involves carrying out plumbing tasks such as repairs, installations, and diagnostics, ensuring work is completed to a high standard. You will aim to complete tasks in a single visit whenever possible, including finishing and cleaning up. Excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across various locations are essential.
Responsibilities
* Carry out all types of plumbing repairs to both tenanted and vacant properties in accordance with job tickets, specifications, and contract drawings, following good practice.
* Work with a "Right First Time" ethos, aiming to complete repairs in one visit where practicable, with high quality workmanship.
* Keep records as required (paper or electronic).
* Undertake measurement and quantification and procure materials as needed.
* Protect tenants’ furniture and belongings, maintain high customer care and satisfaction, and liaise with customers in a caring and helpful manner; adhere to codes of conduct and service standards.
* Work on call out as per contractual agreement.
* Undertake appropriate risk assessments prior to starting work; protect health, safety and welfare of yourself, tenants, colleagues and the public.
* Deliver a consistently high standard of workmanship in line with service specifications and safety procedures, working as part of a team to optimise time, materials and resources.
Requirements
* Full Manual UK Driving License
* City and Guilds Craft Certificate in Plumbing or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
* Experience working as a qualified Plumber in building repairs and maintenance
* Commitment to providing a productive, high-quality, reliable service
* Experience in a customer service environment
* Experience maximizing the number of jobs and repairs completed in one visit
* Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its impact on building repairs
* Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to complete job tickets, timesheets and related information
