Large commercial law firm in London seeks two contentious Construction lawyers – one of 1 to 4 and the other of 5 or more years’ PQE. The team advises a diverse client base across the construction and engineering sectors, including:
* Developers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and material manufacturers
* Insurers, industry professionals, investors, banks and other financial institutions
* Public authorities, higher education bodies and funding and letting entities
* Energy providers
They are instructed on major development and infrastructure schemes, building remediation contracts, process plant and power generation projects, urban regeneration schemes and projects in the hotels and leisure, energy, transport, waste management, telecoms, water and utilities, process and power and rail sectors. They regularly act for clients in adjudication, Technology and Construction Court litigation, arbitration and mediation and other forms of ADR. They also provide a Project Counsel service to clients in connection with live projects.
They’re currently looking for talented and commercially minded Associates and Senior Associates with a strong background in contentious Construction law to join their growing team. You’ll be involved in a broad mix of construction advisory and dispute work, including:
* Claims relating to time, cost, and defects
* Building safety claims
* Adjudications, arbitrations, mediations and Technology and Construction Court litigation
* Strategic dispute avoidance and resolution advice
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-value instructions across a broad spectrum of construction and infrastructure projects for quality clients. Whilst the focus is on contentious work, our client is open to candidates with a mixed background who are keen to continue developing in both contentious and non-contentious areas.
