Volunteer Grant Writer for small creative community charity | The Art Ministry
Help a small charity to improve the community's mental health and well-being through engaging in creative activities by improving the quality, quantity, size and success rate of our funding applications.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Chair of the Trustees to write funding bids and support grant-writing leadership development.
* Identify and research potential funding opportunities and eligible sources.
* Produce a funding timetable showing open/close dates and decision milestones; schedule start times for each application.
* Develop funding budgets and forecasts, identifying required amounts and expected funding sources.
* Write and submit funding bids; report spend and impact according to funder and trustee needs.
* Collaborate with trustees, activity leaders and service users to identify business-as-usual and developmental funding needs.
What we are looking for / Qualifications
* Experience writing successful funding bids and identifying suitable funding targets.
* Strong written and financial skills.
* Ability to work remotely and as part of a team.
* Ability to plan, forecast, and budget; keep plans up to date and report on them.
* Ability to develop a fundraising strategy and understand the needs of both the charity and funders; create bids that satisfy both.
