Your role is to manage strategy into operational delivery within the Culture, Arts and Heritage service, ensuring service delivery at our three cultural venues and playing a leading role in developing exciting projects to deliver our wider cultural ambitions.
You will work alongside the Business Manager Culture, Arts & Heritage to oversee and develop all aspects of the service internally creating a holistic, varied and innovative service that enriches our borough, communities and residents, ensuring they add value and are cost effective.
You will maximise funding opportunities and link culture to key priorities for the borough including: education and skills, health and wellbeing, digital and support for the visitor economy.
You will have significant management experience and a proven track record of shaping service development and delivery in a cultural/heritage environment backed by a relevant qualification. You will be expected tomanage staff setting clear objectives and targets to achieve measurable outcomes.
You will have apassion for culture, arts and heritage withexcellent communication skills to ensure collaboration with a wide range of partners. You must be equally comfortable dealing with staff, elected members, customers and volunteers.This is a varied role so you must demonstrate your ability to work flexibly and deliver innovative approaches.
