Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Leader to oversee and manage our holiday camp programme for children aged 4-13. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children and have the ability to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment.
Duties
* Drive the daily operations of the camp, ensuring smooth execution of activities and schedules.
* Manage a team of activity instructors, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork.
* Ensure the planned activities are delivered in-line with the camp timetable.
* Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff to foster a positive camp community.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining a secure environment.
* Provide leadership in resolving conflicts among campers and addressing any behavioural issues.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and camper progress throughout the programme.
* Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall camp experience.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children and staff alike.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A background in managing groups of children in a school or similar setting is an advantage.
* Ability to drive initiatives that encourage participation and engagement among campers.
* A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development and well-being.
* First Aid certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided.
