Audit Assistant Manager – Entrepreneurial & SME Services
Grant Thornton is looking for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our Entrepreneurial & SME Services team based in Milton Keynes. The role involves managing a portfolio of audit clients, delivering quality assurance, and providing value‑added advice.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise audit work, ensuring quality and compliance with UK GAAP/FRS102
* Project manage client engagements, coordinating teams and timelines
* Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as trusted business advisor
* Support and develop junior staff, providing technical and professional guidance
* Identify and communicate additional client needs and bespoke advisory opportunities
Qualifications
* Professional qualification: ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA
* Post‑qualification audit experience and ability to manage a portfolio of clients
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102
* Experience with audit software and Microsoft Office suite
* Project management experience and strong communication skills
* Business‑oriented mindset and proactive client focus
