Overview We are seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to support a PFI Lifecycle Survey across a large healthcare estate in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for condition assessments and asset data capture across a variety of clinical and non-clinical buildings, contributing to lifecycle planning and compliance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake detailed condition surveys of building fabric, finishes, and infrastructure assets.
* Capture asset data accurately using an iPad and ELIAS asset management software.
* Assess asset condition, remaining life, and renewal requirements in line with PFI lifecycle models.
* Liaise with on-site representatives and stakeholders to coordinate access and ensure minimal disruption to operational services.
* Ensure all data is recorded to the required quality standards and uploaded in a timely manner.
* Provide feedback to the project lead on progress, issues, and survey quality.
Requirements
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
* Proven experience delivering condition or lifecycle surveys, ideally within PFI or healthcare environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of building fabric and M&E assets (multi-disciplinary understanding advantageous).
* Competent in the use of tablet-based survey tools experience with ELIAS preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently to deadlines.
* Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
