A growing residential development business in Cornwall is seeking a motivated Junior Architectural Technician to join its expanding Design & Technical team. Following a strong period of land acquisitions and planning successes, this role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of residential projects across the county, from bespoke 5-9 unit schemes to larger developments of 100+ homes.You'll be part of a small, collaborative team based in Truro, contributing to both the design and technical delivery of high?quality residential architecture. With all architectural services delivered in?house, this is a rare opportunity to gain hands?on experience across the full development lifecycle - from concept design through to handover.Role ResponsibilitiesDeveloping housetypes and standard construction detailsProducing planning drawings and documentation, including assisting with planning submissionsPreparing building control packages and liaising with Building ControlReviewing consultant information and obtaining quotesManaging technical documents and drawing registersSupporting CDM responsibilities during the design stageReviewing utilities information and managing quotes for new service connectionsResponding to site queries and RFIsAssisting with tender quantities and interior specification informationRequirementsArchitectural qualification or relevant experienceExperience working on residential projects at RIBA Stages 3-5Proficiency in CAD software (Archicad/3D modelling desirable but not essential)Strong understanding of planning and building control drawing packagesExperience producing technical details and coordinating informationConfidence using Microsoft OfficeExperience with consultant coordination or sectional agreements is beneficialWhy This Role Stands OutJoin during a major growth phase with genuine long?term progressionFlexible and hybrid working optionsBonus structure with no capsOpportunity to broaden skills across both architecture and technical/development managementWork within a supportive, close knit Cornish teamTPBN1_UKTJ
