Position Overview
We're looking for a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor to join our Construction team based in London. As a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our teams across construction sites. You'll provide expert guidance, carry out inspections and promote a positive safety culture, working closely with the Senior HS&W Manager to maintain the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Conducting regular audits, inspections and site visits to identify safe and unsafe working conditions, reporting findings and making recommendations using Kier software systems
* Advising on the practical implementation of CDM, Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans, Environmental Management Plans and wellbeing strategies
* Promoting and assisting in the delivery of the Kier Behavioural Safety Programme
* Compiling accident reports for reportable incidents and providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
* Maintaining Kier Group SHE policies and procedures as directed by the Senior HS&W Manager
Qualifications
* You have a positive approach to health, safety and environmental matters, with ideally CMIOSH qualification or working towards accreditation.
* Excellent communication skills and feeling confident presenting in forums and meetings.
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within an established team.
* A proactive approach to resolving issues and finding effective, practical solutions.
* Fully conversant with current IT applications and have an understanding of digitalisation, Disability Confident.
