Salary: £35,000 + achievable bonus structure
Schedule: 7‑day operation, no evening work
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef with strong experience in fresh, high‑volume kitchens to lead the culinary operations of a busy daytime restaurant. You’ll be joining a small, motivated, and well‑supported team in a well‑equipped, well‑maintained kitchen that operates at a fast pace, especially during peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take a hands‑on role in delivering consistent, delicious, freshly prepared brunch and lunch dishes.
2. Thrive under pressure and maintain control of the kitchen during peak service times.
3. Lead, develop and support a small team, creating a calm, organised work environment.
4. Follow established menu specifications while having full autonomy over seasonal or daily specials.
5. Ensure all food safety standards are met, including:
6. Level 3 Food Hygiene (training can be provided if needed)
7. Allergen awareness
8. HACCP
9. Safer Food Better Business guidelines
10. Maintaining a 5‑star food hygiene rating
About You
11. Naturally calm, organised, and motivated, with a genuine passion for fresh, well-presented food.
12. Experienced in prep systems, batch cooking, efficient station setup and service flow.
13. Confident leading a small team while remaining hands-on in all aspects of kitchen operations.
14. Committed to high standards of cleanliness, food quality, speed, and consistency.
15. Able to work weekends and public holidays as part of a 7‑day schedule.
16. Keen to contribute to the restaurant’s ongoing success and grow within the business.
17. Enjoy working in an extremely busy venue during peak times.
