Overview
Occupational Therapist - Community Mental Health role at NHS Scotland. Fixed term post for 12 months.
Location: Riverview Resource Centre, Dumbarton. Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday, 09:00-17:00 and Friday 09:00-16:30.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialist core Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for adults with mental health problems using the Model of Human Occupation to underpin practice.
* Collaborate with MDT colleagues including nursing, psychiatry, psychology and social work.
* Use standardised assessments and tools to demonstrate the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy interventions.
* Contribute to shaping and developing the Occupational Therapy service.
Qualifications
* Experienced Occupational Therapist with confidence in core skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and a collaborative clinical style.
* Well-developed knowledge of care of adults with mental health problems and appropriate interventions.
