Ideally, you will have: GCSE English and Maths qualifications or equivalent. Evidence of job-related training. Experience of supporting learners with disabilities, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental well-being issues with their further education studies. To have an understanding of the needs of learners with disabilities, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental well-being issues and strategies for differentiating support. Knowledge of IT and office suites e. g., Word. Day-to-day you will be responsible for: To support student need to ensure equitable access to all College programmes by all students, whilst maintaining high expectations. Support students organisational skills To focus the student on the instructions and meaning of the activity and to ensure the student understands the tasks in hand. To promote confidence, motivate and provide guidance and encouragement in whatever activities they are undertaking. To encourage the student to integrate into the learning group. To ensure students are up to date with their work and liaise with the tutors to identify gaps and assist in getting the student to meet targets To collaborate with internal professionals to contribute to smooth progressions and transitions.
