Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide end-to-end solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Metering team. We are the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters. Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns.
What will you be doing?
As an engineer, you'll respond to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of EON, ensuring customers' Smart Meters are functioning correctly. You will install and remove smart meters (SMETS2) in customers' homes, completing around 5 jobs per day, with an uncapped bonus for additional jobs.
You will travel around your area using your tablet to see your schedule, which can be planned up to 2 weeks in advance. Continuous training will be provided to develop your skills. The role involves customer interaction, ensuring safety, explaining benefits, and making a positive impact on customers' lives.
You will be supported through weekly meetings, field manager visits, and ongoing training. No two days are the same, offering numerous opportunities to excel.
What you'll bring
* Valid UK driving licence (held for at least 1 year, with less than 6 points)
* Qualifications such as CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel
* Experience installing gas and electric smart meters
* Previous MOCOPA experience at multi-rate level
Bonus qualifications like REGT1, 3-phase, or registration on the EUSR portal are advantageous but not required.
