This secondment opportunity is for a General Manager – OMFS and Ophthalmology (8C), reporting to the Clinical Director for OMFS and Ophthalmology. Applicants can join for a 6 month secondment.

Responsibilities
The General Manager is responsible and accountable for the day‑to‑day operational services of the directorate. They will work collaboratively with the triumvirate to ensure services are clinically and operationally led, meet access targets, and embed quality improvement and a culture of learning and improvement.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge in this field through practical experience
* Evidence of relevant professional management training and/or qualification
Experience
* Leadership/managerial role in a complex acute environment
* Directly managing pay and non‑pay budgets
* Direct staff management of a large team
* Supporting and developing staff members
* Active performance management
* Providing high quality services with restricted resources
* Supporting staff through change
* Implementing change management projects to develop or improve services
* Managing and delivering access standards
* Managing effective booking and appointment processes
* Implementing change management utilizing technologies
* Business case preparation, presentation and implementation
